What does it mean to prototype in your life? In design, we can prototype products and services in order to see how they may react or work before full production begins. In our lives, we can prototype conversations and experiences to test how we might react in our future. Informal conversations, networking, and informational interviews are all ways in which we can prototype in our lives.

Tune in as Gabrielle Santa-Donato EdM ’12 explores how you can leverage your curiosity and the lived experiences of others to help shape and guide your future. She will specifically talk about the power of informational and inspirational interviewing and networking.

Gabrielle Santa-Donato teaches many applications of design thinking in Stanford’s Life Design Lab and with IDEO University. As a the Life Design Studio Lead, she catalyzed and leads the movement to bring life design to universities across the world. Her workview is to help people discover their unique learning potential. In service of this, she has created innovative learning communities for the past 10 years at the intersection of design thinking and education, training professionals to use the design process in K12, higher ed, and corporations locally and internationally, including building a design thinking organization in Chile from the ground up.
