Public Service
I am Olanrewaju Smart, Ph.D, a proud 2025 alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School's MCMPA degree program , where I deepened my commitment to evidence-based policymaking and social impact. My academic journey at Harvard strengthened my research at the intersection of public policy, AI, and e-governance strategy, with particular focus on public policy reform. I spent my pre-Harvard years on legislative reforms as Chief of Staff to the Speaker of Nigeria's House of Representatives particularly design of the interest-free students loan Act resulting into the creation of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NelFUNd) , amongst others
Beyond scholarship, the experience reinforced my dedication to public service and institutional strengthening across Africa. Today, I remain engaged in advancing policy conversations around sustainable growth, digital governance innovation, and STEM education promotion. As a member of the Harvard alumni community, I am committed to contributing to impactful leadership and collaborative solutions that drive inclusive development and long-term economic resilience.
