In response to alumni interest, this past September the Harvard Alumni Association launched a series of in-person and virtual programs featuring Harvard leadership and faculty speakers in conversation about the current academic landscape of the University. This series will continue throughout the 2024–2025 academic year with a variety of programming.

We hope you will join us in-person or virtually for one of these upcoming programs! We will continue to update you and this website as new opportunities arise.

Questions about an event in this series? Please reach out to us at haa_alumnieducation@harvard.edu.

The Good Life: On Preparing Young People to Lead Moral and Meaningful Lives

High percentages of both teens and young adults these days are hyper-focused on their achievements and happiness while reporting little or no meaning and purpose in their lives and suffering high rates of loneliness and mental health challenges. The costs to society of this hyper-individualism are also high. How do we prepare teens and young adults to find rich meaning and purpose and to be responsible, caring citizens who advance the common good?
