Harvard Moves: 5K Your Way

November 2—5, 2023

How to Participate

Between Thursday, November 3 and Sunday, November 6, get out and complete a 5k—your way! You can run or roll in your neighborhood, hike a favorite trail, go for a bike ride, or take a walk on a treadmill, for example. Are you ready to get moving? Registration is now live.

Do I have to do a 5k?

If you’re not quite ready for a 5k or if you’re feeling ambitious—don’t sweat it! Feel free to complete whatever distance you’re comfortable with.

What do I do once I complete my 5k?

We can’t wait to hear how your 5k goes! We’ll be in touch with a survey where you can log the distance you ran and your time. In the meantime, don’t forget to share a selfie with us on social media by tagging @harvardalumni and using the hashtag #HarvardMoves.

What does my voluntary contribution support?

As part of your registration, you’ll have the opportunity to make a donation to support financial aid for Harvard College students. Learn more about why your support for undergraduates is critical right now.

Taking it easy as you get older? Wrong.

Message of new Lieberman study: ‘Because we evolved to be active throughout our lives, our bodies need physical activity to age well’

Changing Lives at Harvard

Harvard College students hail from around the world, from as many backgrounds and places and circumstances imaginable. What they have in common is the talent and desire to make a difference in the world—and, because of their Harvard experience, they do.

By supporting financial aid, you can help bring talented minds together at Harvard, regardless of economic backgrounds.
