How to Participate

Come together with your global University-wide community to celebrate movement and support students. Go for a bike ride, dance, swim, hike a favorite trail, run or roll in your neighborhood—or meet up with your local Harvard community and get moving with friends. No matter how you choose to participate, we hope you’ll join us November 7–10!

Do I have to do a specific activity?

You can choose to move in any way you like and go any distance you’re comfortable with. Set your own pace, distance, and location—the options are unlimited. You can even meet up with others in your area and get moving together!

What do I do once I complete my activity?

We can’t wait to see how you move! We’ll be in touch with a survey where you can share your results and feedback. In the meantime, don’t forget to share a selfie with us on social media by tagging @harvardalumni and using the hashtag #HarvardMoves.

What does my voluntary contribution support?

As part of your registration, you’ll have the opportunity to make a donation to support financial aid for Harvard College students. Learn more about how your act of generosity adds up to make a big difference for Harvard College students.

The Evolution of Exercise

Prof. Daniel Lieberman AB '86, PhD '93 and Bob Manson MPA '04 examine why so many find it hard to exercise and the kinds of physical activity we're evolved to do.

Supporting Students at Harvard

Harvard College students hail from around the world, from as many backgrounds and places and circumstances imaginable. What they have in common is the talent and desire to make a difference in the world—and, because of their Harvard experience, they do.

By supporting financial aid, you can help bring talented minds together at Harvard, regardless of economic backgrounds.
