During dinner, Bob Niehaus MBA ’82 set a wonderful tone for the evening in recounting his family’s ties to Harvard Business School and with the following quote attributed to Winston Churchill: “You make a living by what you get; you make a life by what you give.” Carole AB ’74 and Ron Reading topped off the evening beautifully with their remarks on why supporting financial aid for Harvard College students is so meaningful for them. Anne McClintock, executive director of Harvard University Planned Giving, began the program with a presentation on charitable planning ideas, and Alasdair Halliday AB ’82, philanthropic advisor and director of principal gifts, followed by leading a discussion on family and wealth.
