It is exciting to be in the RTP area, as I just moved here to work for a growing dental practice and to teach at UNC (still hold an academic postion at Univ. of Michigan, though). My academic curiosity is diverse, but is mostly intrigued in the areas of global health, interprofessional models of healthcare, and healthspan/longevity. My hobbies are exploring the nature, traveling, biking and volunteering in community activities. I believe this event will be a fantastic opportunity to develop connections and friendships around to continue enjoying the area and to establish partnerships in healthcare and community projects.

My fiance and I are likely moving to Winston-Salem this summer since he got a postdoc at Wake Forest in Applied Mathematics, but we are still on the hunt for potential competing job offers in NC (or remote) that he might be interested in. He is a pen-and-paper mathematician and fluid dynamicist with some programming experience but is not a pure computer scientist. Besides our careers, we are excited to get married soon in Aspen, Colorado and honeymoon in the Tetons and Yellowstone. Our typical hobbies include homebrewing, traveling, dogsitting, and rock climbing.
