Trip Overview
Begin the program in Slovenia’s capital city, Ljubljana, and discover magical Lake Bled, monumental karst caves, and mountain aeries before continuing to Rovinj, Croatia to begin your 7-night Adriatic cruise. Launched in 2018, the beautiful and intimate 18-cabin Queen Eleganza yacht features a casual ambiance and the ability to call at small, inviting islands and ports not accessible to large cruise ships. Sail along the Croatian coast from Istria to Dubrovnik, calling at magical Rovinj, Velika Brijun, Pula, Zadar, Split, Hvar, and Korkula. A leisurely pace allows for time in port overnight for free time in town to sample local cuisine and meet and mingle with residents.

What to Expect
This is a moderately strenuous program that is at times both physically demanding and busy, and requires you to be in good health and physical condition. In order to make the most of what each locale has to offer, pre-cruise time in Slovenia, along with shore excursions from the Queen Eleganza, will be active, and you will often be spending much of the day off the ship. These adventure-filled days are offset by relaxing time spent cruising at sea, with the opportunity to enjoy the ship’s amenities and the full lecture program. In certain ports, it is possible that the Queen Eleganza may need to dock side by side with other vessels, in which case travelers must pass through neighboring ship(s) to go ashore. If this occurs, instructions for disembarking and reembarking the ship will be announced by the ship’s crew or tour staff. Travel on land will be by air-conditioned motorcoach. Daily activities can involve up to two miles of walking, and walking tours take place in older quarters and historic sites, where the terrain is often cobblestoned and uneven. Many historic buildings do not have elevators, and you’ll occasionally encounter steps without handrails. Please note that the Queen Eleganza does not have an elevator, so participants should be capable of navigating stairs on rolling seas.
