Professor Elie Ofek and Assistant Professor Maria Roche have been selected for their work in the Doctoral Programs. The award, whose recipients are selected by doctoral students, recognizes faculty who provide exceptional mentorship and guidance to doctoral students.

On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, all 929 members of the Harvard Business School (HBS) MBA Class of 2025 gathered at Baker Lawn under clear skies to celebrate Class Day. Taking place the day before Commencement, Class Day is an annual event organized by graduating students to celebrate the achievements, contributions and community of the graduating MBA class. Along with family, friends, and guests, graduates honored five faculty teaching award recipients and listened to speeches from classmates and one of this year’s Alumni Achievement Award winners.

Harvard Business School has announced the 2025-2026 cohort of its Leadership Fellows Program. The program is based on University Professor Michael Porter’s vision of developing a network of HBS graduates with cross-sector experience who are committed to addressing societal issues throughout their careers. Since 2003, it has placed over 300 fellows at organizations such as the City of Boston Mayor’s Office, Harlem Children’s Zone, Equal Justice Initiative, Mercy Corps, and Whitney Museum of American Art.

James Bedford, from the Harvard Business School’s (HBS) MBA Class of 2025, has been named the recipient of the Dean’s Award. This prestigious award celebrates the extraordinary achievements of a graduating student who during their two years of study has made a positive impact on Harvard, Harvard Business School, and/or broader communities through exceptional acts of leadership. Nominations come from across the HBS community and Dean Srikant Datar makes the final selection. Bedford will be formally recognized during the week of Commencement.

BOSTON—Chris Hood (MBA 2025) has been selected as the student speaker for Harvard Business School’s (HBS) Class Day celebration, held this year on Wednesday, May 28. Class Day honors graduating students and typically takes place on the day before the School’s and University’s official graduation ceremonies. It is planned and conducted by a committee of second-year MBA students.
