Claire Boine is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Washington in Saint Louis, and an AI For Humanity Fellow at Mila Quebec. Claire also founded Successif, an organization that supports professional working on AI risks prevention. Before that, Claire was a Senior Research Fellow in AI Policy at the Future of Life Institute, a Research Scholar and a Lecturer at Boston University for four years, and a Research Fellow at Harvard University for one year. Prior to that, Claire worked as a research assistant in human rights law for three years, represented asylum seekers, and taught history in a high school. Claire holds a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University (2017), a law degree in European law from Nantes University, a Master's in political sciences from Toulouse University, and a Licence in History from Paris IV Sorbonne.

Just finished serving as a Legislative Fellow in the Office of U.S. Senator Bob Casey, where I developed his "401Kids proposal." Prior to that, was founding director of a wealth inequality research center at the St. Louis Fed for over 11 years. Moved here from St. Louis in 2009 for my wife's faculty position at Wash U. We have three children, all in their 20s. Spend most of my free time and money on live music.

I am a driven and results-focused professional with a unique combination of experience in both professional athletics and business operations. With a degree in Political Science from Harvard University and studies in Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia, I bring strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, complemented by a deep understanding of leadership principles that empower me to effectively guide teams and drive strategic initiatives. My background in professional sports has ingrained in me a relentless work ethic, leadership, and a deep commitment to teamwork. I am eager to leverage these diverse experiences to deliver impactful solutions and drive success in any organization I join.

I moved to St. Louis with my family in 2011to help found the firm at which I currently work, ButcherJoseph & Co. Our firm advises privately owned companies on corporate finance and M&A matters. I am looking to connect with fellow alumnae in the area.

As a former analyst at CIA and NATO, I am passionate about helping people understand the big, global “megatrends” changing today's world. My goal is to help people see how those trends will affect them and what they can do in response. I believe the insights and methods of CIA-style “Strategic Intelligence” are especially applicable to investment strategy and management. My focus at Confluence Investment Management is on analyzing current international security issues, geopolitical developments, global economics, and financial markets in order to map their implications to investment strategy.

Foreign Service Officer since 1992 (overseas service: Thailand, Laos, Hong Kong, Estonia, and Montreal) now assigned to Scott AFB. Father of an astrophysics student at Haverford College. Passions: singing with my church choir, sampling briskets and local beers, organic composting, and old school rap music.

I am a biologist and conservationist pursuing my PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at WashU. I have a passion for science education which is what I studied at Harvard. I also sing/scream in an environmental emo band called Half Inch Hero.
