This Is a Past Event

Join the Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Learning alumni livestream to hear from Harvard faculty. When faced with conflict, humans often fight or flee. But Julia Minson AB '99 and Francesca Gino tell us there is a better strategy: to engage in the disagreement with an open mind and be ready to learn. Drawing on Julia’s research on receptiveness to opposing views and their joint work on the language we need to use to show others we are listening, Julia and Francesca will talk about how to disagree more productively.
