As AI transforms how we innovate—from startup founders using ChatGPT to brainstorm business models to R&D teams relying on machine learning for breakthrough discoveries—we're witnessing both unprecedented creative potential and hidden cognitive risks. Join Harvard Business School Assistant Professor Jacqueline Ng Lane as she reveals the surprising ways AI is reshaping human judgment in innovation contexts. In this talk, she'll explore how our growing dependence on AI "expertise" can both accelerate breakthrough thinking and create dangerous blind spots that stifle the very creativity we're trying to enhance. What happens when algorithms become our creative partners—and when does that partnership undermine the very innovation we're trying to achieve? This isn't just about efficiency; it's about the future of human ingenuity itself.

This program is coordinated through the Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Learning and will be livestreamed to the alumni community in collaboration with the Harvard Alumni Association.
