Gordon Teskey is Francis Lee Higginson Professor of English at Harvard, where he has been on the faculty since 2002. He took his Ph.D. at the University of Toronto and taught at Cornell University before coming to Harvard. He has been a Guggenheim fellow and a Visiting Research Fellow at Merton College, Oxford. In 2016 his book, The Poetry of John Milton, was awarded the Gauss Prize for Literary Criticism. Teskey has traveled and lectured extensively in Europe and has taught for some years at the Harvard Summer School in Venice.
