I talk about context--past and present. I talk about messaging. What isn't there is sometimes more important than what is there. Everyone has a right to culture, and in the process of "accessing" culture (whatever that is...), people learn to find their voice and exercise it.

I am an education researcher, based at HGSE, focused on social and emotional learning in international contexts. I aim to support students' and teachers' social and emotional development and wellbeing in ways that are culturally responsive and sustaining. I'm a new mother who loves to practice yoga, swim, and surf year round. I graduated from HGSE with an Ed.M. in International Education Policy in 2016, and from Mills College with a B.A. in French and Francophone Studies and English Literature in 2013. I'm currently pursuing an A.L.M. in Creative Writing and Literature through the Extension School.
Through this event, I look forward to connecting with other recent Harvard graduates in the Boston area who hold similar professional interests. I also hope to meet other young parents who are navigating parenthood while focusing on the careers they've built post-Harvard.
