Join us for a conversation with actors Josh Brener AB '07, Inger Tudor AB '87 JD '92, Sumalee Montano AB '93, and Justin White AB '10.

Josh Brener AB '07

Best known for playing Big Head on HBO's 'Silicon Valley', Josh Brener has appeared in a number of films including 'The Internship' with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, 'The Frontrunner' with Hugh Jackman, 'What Men Want' with Taraji P. Henson, and James Gunn's 'The Belko Experiment'.  Josh recently appeared in HBO's 'The Last Of Us', and will also be seen in the upcoming Netflix sci-fi series 'The Three Body Problem' from Game Of Thrones duo David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, as well as the upcoming Amblin action thriller 'Carry On' starring Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman.  Josh has also been seen on TV in 'The Big Bang Theory', 'Maron', 'Modern Family', and 'Scandal', and his voice can be heard on several animated series including 'Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles', 'Star Wars: Resistance', 'DuckTales', and the new DreamWorks series 'Megamind Rules'. Josh received critical acclaim for his performance as a young F. Murray Abraham on Apple’s 'Mythic Quest', the Chicago Tribune hailing his work as “incredible and unexpectedly touching” and “one of my favorite performances of the year".

Inger Tudor AB '87 JD '92

INGER TUDOR is a graduate of Harvard (College and Law School) and London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art classical theatre program. She is a member of The Road and Rogue Machine Theatre companies and a guest artist with A Noise Within and Antaeus classical theatre companies, all in Los Angeles. From her work in film, television, theatre and voice-overs, her favorite recent credits include Lifespan of a Fact at Fountain Theatre and Rubicon Theatre, Merchant of Venice, Annotated with Theatre Dybbuk (currently touring), Rose McClendon in Voodoo Macbeth (Amazon Prime, Vudu, Apple TV), recent appearances on Your Honor and Physical, the voice of Bree Stone in the latest James Patterson Alex Cross audiobooks, and audio description for The Equalizer and The Neighborhood television series.

Sumalee Montano AB '93

Sumalee Montano holds a breadth of perspectives within the industry, originating her career as an investment banker and now as an actress-producer. Onscreen she has worked extensively in film and television as a series regular and recurring guest. Past projects include Dan Brown’s The Lost SymbolThis Is UsVEEPS.W.A.T.ScandalE.R. and more. ​Sumalee was recently cast in the Shondaland Netflix series, The Residence, a screwball whodunnit set in the White House, where she plays Chief of Staff Dana Hammond.

A prolific voice actor, Sumalee has lent her voice to over 200 animated projects to date across film, television, and triple-A video games, including Sony's landmark success Ghost of Tsushima plus multiple Star Wars and World of Warcraft games. Offscreen Sumalee is an advocate for storytelling that uplifts multicultural talent in front of and behind the camera. A co-founder of LinLay Productions, Sumalee has produced or executive produced nine feature films to date, including: Nikyatu Jusu’s Nanny, winner of the 2022 Grand Jury Prize at Sundance; Black Barbie: A Documentary, recently acquired by Netflix and Shondaland; Riotsville, U.S.A., nominee for Best Doc at the Indie Spirit Awards; and The Deal, a sci-fi mother-daughter story that Sumalee based on her real-life relationship with her Filipina mom.

Sumalee graduated from Harvard College and was a U.S. Fulbright Scholar to the Philippines. She was born and raised in Ohio and now resides in Los Angeles with her family.

Justin White AB '10

Justin is an NYC native and Harvard College class of 2010. He served as Exec Director of Harvardwood from 2020 to 2022. Justin started his career in management consulting, later pursuing acting in New York. After graduating from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with his MFA in Acting, Justin held recurring and guest star roles on several TV shows, and made various film appearances. He currently resides in Los Angeles, where he continues to act and produce. Justin currently works in Production Strategy at Amazon Studios.
