What to Expect

Activity Level 3
  • 2-4 miles of walking per day, sometimes during the heat of the day
  • Walking up hills or stairs (without handrails) on cobblestone streets, and at sites of ancient ruins
  • Long days of motorcoach travel and sightseeing
  • Moderate hikes on uneven terrain
  • Inside of tombs/temples is dimly lit
  • Walking inside a pyramid is only accessible through a small 3’ to 4’ high shaft; walking up, crouched over, at an angle for about 150 steps (15 minutes); not recommended for guests who are claustrophobic or who have mobility issues
  • Early am wake up calls on some days to depart for the airport or to visit a site before the heat of the day sets in
  • Ability to embark/disembark boats. Sometimes a small plank is used to get on/off of a boat
  • Ability to get on/off the motorcoach several times a day without assistance
  • This program would not be suitable for guests with mobility issues or guests who use walkers, scooters or rollators
