On May 11, 2017, alumni and friends in Chicago, Illinois, joined the Harvard University Planned Giving team for dinner and a discussion on Family, Finance, and Philanthropy.

The evening kicked off with a cocktail reception. Host and president of the Harvard Club of Chicago, David R. Scherer AB '93, welcomed everyone to dinner with powerful remarks about what Harvard has meant to him. During dinner, Anne McClintock, Executive Director, Harvard University Planned Giving, made a presentation on charitable planning ideas, followed by a discussion on family and wealth led by Alasdair Halliday AB '82, Philanthropic Advisor and Director of Principal Gifts. Richard W. Shepro AB '75, JD '79, P'10 capped off the evening with remarks on some of the extraordinary work happening at Harvard.
