Hosted by the HAA, Harvard Alumni Day is a day for and in celebration of Harvard's vibrant, global alumni community. This annual event is a time of joy, nostalgia, and connection—celebrating alumni communities across all Harvard Schools and around the globe.
All are welcome to attend this gathering in Cambridge each spring, which features the traditional all-alumni parade, a speaking program with special guests, engaging symposia sessions and meetups, a Yard party with lawn games, and more.
Virtual celebration options are also available for alumni unable to attend in person.
The 2025 Alumni Day will take place in Harvard Yard on Friday, June 6, with official Alumni Day activities starting at 10:30 a.m. (ET).
All Harvard University alumni, HAA associate members, program participants, students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend the festivities with their families and friends.

Registration will open in March 2025! The best way to ensure registration details are shared with you is to keep your email address updated through the Harvard Alumni Community and to add the Harvard Alumni Association (haa@harvard.edu) to your email contacts.
For access to Harvard Yard on Friday, June 6, and to attend Alumni Day activities, advanced registration is required. Please be aware that there will be no physical or digital tickets for registrants. Upon arrival to campus, you will provide your name and the names of your registered guests to a staff member to get into the Yard.
The cost for the 2025 Alumni Day is $30.00 per person. This price includes all events and activities and access to the food and beverage trucks in the Yard during Alumni Day.
Each registration grants access to the Yard on Alumni Day and includes the price of the Yard party with lunch that will follow the alumni parade and speaking program. Several food and beverage trucks will be available to you offering a variety of options. View the menu.
Your ticket will also grant you access to afternoon events covering a range of topics including climate, alumni in the arts, and public service. See the event schedule for more details.
Walk-in registrants are welcome and can register online for $30 per person at any time. If you need help with the registration and would rather register in person, you can go to the Cabot Science Library in the Science Center (1 Oxford Street, Cambridge) starting at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6.
Gates to Harvard Yard will open on Friday, June 6, at 8:00 a.m. (ET). Those who have registered for Alumni Day are welcome to come to campus at their convenience. If you plan to participate in the alumni parade, please arrive by 10:30 a.m.
All persons, bags, and personal items are subject to inspection before entering Harvard Yard. No backpacks of any type will be admitted. No bag or item larger than 12″ × 12″ × 12″ will be permitted in the Yard.
Take advantage of bag and luggage storage on campus at Science Center Plaza, 1 Oxford Street, on June 6 and 7.
The Mobile Locker Company will be providing secure, monitored storage for Harvard Alumni attendees and guests. Their professional staff will be onsite from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to handle your bags and/or luggage so you can enjoy your time on campus.
You may pre-purchase your storage solution and avoid any lines or wait times at the event. You may also pay on site (credit card only). The $20 fee covers all your storage needs and secure monitoring. You may store more than one bag with your reservation.

Security for all alumni and guests attending Harvard Alumni Day is taken very seriously. The Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) will have an active presence on campus throughout the entire day. The Yard will be closed to the public on Friday, June 6. Only those with a Harvard Alumni Day registration, Harvard and Radcliffe College Reunion nametag, or Harvard ID will be admitted into the Yard. Bags will be checked upon arrival and must follow our bag guidelines. Staff will additionally be present throughout the Yard during the event.
The HUPD is an important resource if you need help of any kind, and should be the first contact for any on-campus incidents. HUPD can be reached with any of the blue-lit emergency telephones in Harvard buildings and in public areas, or by calling 617-495-1212.
Harvard University encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. Harvard Alumni Day will be offered with in-person American Sign Language interpreting and all informational materials for these events will be available in an accessible digital format. A reserved and accessible seating section will also be available in Tercentenary Theatre. Additionally, live captioning will be available during the livestream, which is accessible via alumni.harvard.edu/alumni-day.

The HAA welcomes alumni of all religions to observe their faith traditions while on campus. You can find information about local faith and non-religious communities on the Harvard Divinity School and Harvard Chaplains websites.
This June’s celebration coincides with the Islamic holidays Day of Arafah and Eid al-Adha. The HAA is committed to ensuring those attending Alumni Day and observing these holidays are able to do both as fully as possible and will work with anyone who requires accommodations in order to do so. Please reach out to the HAA if you would like to explore this further based on your individual needs. Alumni may also contact Chaplains Imam Dr. Khalil Abdur-Rashid or Samia Omar with any questions regarding religious arrangements.

Alumni Day nametags and lanyards will be available for all attendees at each gate on June 6, though not mandatory to wear. Attendees are welcome to pick up a nametag upon arrival at any gate entrance.
While there is no specific dress code for Alumni Day, we do recommend dressing for the predicted weather as the alumni parade, speaking program, and Yard party will all take place outside. It is also encouraged that everyone shows their school spirit by wearing festive Harvard flair!
Alumni Day will be celebrated in rain or shine; however, in the case of severe inclement weather, real-time updates via text messages will be sent to those who opt-in to receive such texts during registration. Additional details will become available on the Alumni Day website as needed.
Several restrooms, first aid stations, and water stations will be available throughout the Yard on Alumni Day. Locations will be clearly marked. Restrooms are wheelchair accessible.
Alumni Day welcomes all to attend in person; however, for those who are unable to travel to Cambridge, virtual opportunities will be available. More information is forthcoming about how to watch the Harvard Alumni Day program online and participate in local celebrations hosted by Harvard Clubs in cities near and far.

Local Celebrations bring the energy and spirit of Alumni Day to communities around the world through in-person and virtual gatherings each year. Organized by HAA Clubs, these local convenings might include social gatherings honoring alumni in your area, dinners, annual meetings, livestream viewing parties, and more. In-person or virtual events will take place on or around Alumni Day, which will be held on campus on Friday, June 6. Visit the Local Celebrations page this spring for a list of participating Clubs.
Hosted on campus by HAA Shared Interest Groups (SIGs), SIG Meetups provide alumni with the opportunity to connect around shared interests, experiences, professions, cultures, or hobbies. These afternoon gatherings will take place on campus from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Alumni Day and will offer a unique chance for attendees to network with fellow alumni and learn more about a variety of organizations. Alumni Day will take place on Friday morning and afternoon of Harvard and Radcliffe College Reunions, welcoming all who are celebrating a Reunion to attend. Registration for Alumni Day will be included in the 2025 Harvard and Radcliffe College Reunions registration forms for those in Reunion. Parking and Transportation
Whether you're arriving from around the corner or a nearby city, we’re here to ensure your Alumni Day visit is smooth and enjoyable. The following information offers insights into the parking options that will be available on Alumni Day, information on shuttle and van services, and efficient public transportation routes.
Please plan your visit accordingly as traffic in Cambridge may be busy, with delays going to and from Harvard Square. For more details, visit Harvard University Transportation and Parking.
Alumni Day Parking
All visitors looking for Alumni Day parking, including guests needing accessible parking, should proceed to the Soldiers Field Park Garage on the Business School campus, located at 111 Western Avenue in Allston. Signs will be posted directing traffic to the Soldiers Field Park Garage or a nearby overflow lot. Please note: all parking is on a first-come, first-served basis, and is in satellite parking areas.
Guests with further questions on accessible parking needs or accommodations can email haa_alumniday@harvard.edu. If you are looking for extended parking during this week, please contact the Parking Office at parking@harvard.edu. This is a busy week for the University and we may not be able to assist with all requests.
Also, visitors and guests should know there are many commercial parking facilities in and around Harvard Square. Locations and additional information can be found at www.harvardsquare.com/venue_type/parking. We ask that you be respectful of the Allston and Cambridge communities by not parking on residential streets.
Motorist Assistance Program (MAP)
This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Transportation Services provides free on-campus emergency road service for faculty, staff, students, and visitors who need help charging a dead battery, changing a flat tire, or retrieving keys that have been locked inside a car. Please call 617-496-HELP (4357).
Alumni Day Service
The HAA will provide continuous bus service between the main parking areas at the Soldiers Field lot to Harvard Square between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on June 6. For other events, from 8:00 a.m. to midnight, we will have continuous shuttles looping from the Science Center (at the Oxford and Kirkland Street elbow) to the Quad and River Houses.
Additional Routes and Services
Shuttles will operate approximately every 15 minutes from the Allston campus between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. starting Wednesday, June 4, to Saturday, June 7. Additionally, from 8:00 a.m. to midnight, we will have continuous shuttles looping from the Science Center (at the Oxford and Kirkland Street elbow) to the Quad and River Houses.

Day Time Van Service
We will operate fully accessible vans for people who, because of physical impairment or medical condition, find it difficult to use the fixed route shuttle buses. People who plan on using this service or who have guests coming to the University who wish to use the service should contact disabilityresources@harvard.edu.
Evening Van Service
This service will run between 7:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. with the last call taken at 2:30 a.m. It is open to the entire Harvard community, including visiting guests. It provides point-to-point ride service within our service boundaries around the Cambridge and Allston campuses. No advanced reservations are accepted. Rides can be requested at 617-495-0400.
Harvard Station on the MBTA Red Line is directly across the street from Harvard Yard in the middle of the Square. All the stations below have parking at a nominal fee. For more detailed information on public transportation options, visit the Harvard University Transportation and Parking website.
From South of Boston
Drive to Braintree Station (Exit 17 off Route 3 coming from Cape Cod or the South Shore), the southern terminus of the Red Line. Take a train to Alewife (all other destinations will stop short of Harvard). Harvard is 14 stops up the Red Line. Allow approximately 45 minutes for the subway portion of the trip.
From the North of Boston
Drive to Alewife Station in Cambridge, the northern terminus of the Red Line. Take any train and get off at Harvard, the third stop. Allow 15 minutes for the subway portion of the trip.
From the West of Boston
Drive to Riverside Station in Newton (Exit 22A from Route 128), the western terminus of the D branch of the Green Line. Take a train to Park Street. Go downstairs, following signs marked "Red Line to Alewife" and take a train four stops to Harvard. Allow one hour for the subway portion of the trip.
