Work on Climate and Sustainability at Harvard: Meeting the Moment with the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability

Harvard is forging ahead with ambitious climate research that is making a real-world impact. This discussion will delve into ongoing projects, including advances in reducing methane emissions, modernizing the electricity grid, and safeguarding public health from the impacts of climate change.

One Harvard, One AI: Pioneering Innovation for Impact with the Harvard Data Science Initiative

What role should a university play in shaping the future of artificial intelligence? In this forward-looking session moderated by Francesca Dominici, Faculty Director of the Harvard Data Science Initiative, Harvard faculty will explore how AI and data science can be advanced in ways that are rigorous, ethical, and deeply interdisciplinary. From building new methodological and engineering tools to rethinking the foundations of responsible AI, our speakers will share powerful examples of research that could only happen at Harvard. This conversation will open up big questions—about innovation, collaboration, and impact—and offer a glimpse into how the Harvard Data Science Initiative is working to ensure AI serves society in meaningful and lasting ways.
