Together we can do big things in education.

At HGSE, we think big and aim high. Learners everywhere deserve nothing less. Our annual Giving Day is a time when the whole community — alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends — comes together to make a huge impact for the Ed School. And it’s all so we can continue to be a place where great educators and bold ideas thrive.

Your gift today supports the HGSE Fund, an essential resource that helps the Ed School do big things. It touches every corner of campus, from financial aid to classroom upgrades. Because HGSE Fund gifts are unrestricted and can be used immediately, they empower the school to act on new opportunities, back great educators, and launch enterprising ideas in research and learning.

Yes! Your gift of any size makes a difference in the support we can offer our students, faculty, and partners. And gifts add up in incredible ways. Last year, nearly 2,000 donors made contributions to the HGSE Fund, showing that collectively we can accomplish a great deal.

Every person who makes a Giving Day contribution (even if you give early!) will be included on our Gold Star list. To reflect early donations, the list will be updated on March 6, 13, 20, and 23.

On Giving Day, the list will be updated four times (ET): 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 5 p.m. All donations after 5 p.m. will be added to the list on March 26.

Tell your network about Giving Day! Use our sample posts to help amplify HGSE’s Giving Day to your personal and professional networks. It makes a huge difference when people hear directly from a friend, colleague, or former classmate. In other words: We need hype people to make this day even bigger!

The 1920 Society includes our most committed donors. Members give at the leadership level (minimum of $1,000 annually or $500 for graduates of the last 10 years) or make recurring or legacy gifts. Members are included in our annual 1920 Society Honor Roll and enjoy other membership benefits.

And while these benefits don’t (currently) include friendship bracelets, we do think of the 1920 Society as our besties.
