This is a "People to People" program allowed under a general license authorized by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Each day has been structured to provide meaningful interactions with Cuban people or educational or cultural programming and travelers must participate in all group activities. The infrastructure in Cuba is still developing. Some buildings visited may not have an elevator, or only a very small elevator, so guests must be able to walk three to five flights without difficulty. Uneven terrain is common, even inside buildings. Temperatures can still get up to the mid-80s °F in December and air conditioning is not widely available.
