Listen to 16 Artists, a conversation series about young creators finding their way in the world. This podcast spotlights sixteen members of the Class of 2016 who dove into uncertainty to chase their dreams. Breaking away from the treadmills into corporate, legal and scientific sectors, these young creatives contend with identity crises, the tradeoff between freedom and financial stability, and the ever-creative process of self-determination (and in some cases, self-transcendence). Host and Class of 2016 First Marshal Reylon Yount invites us into their stories – ranging from an animation director experiencing a changing relationship to her body on a leech-laden hike to Kyoto, to a community organizer processing the grief she inherited from her Indigenous ancestors by drawing Indian Boarding Schools in Montana.
