Prominent white columns with ornate Corinthian capitals support the entablature, which is engraved with the words “WIDENER MEMORIAL LIBRARY.” Green tree branches partially frame the top of the image against a partly cloudy sky.

Upholding Our Values, Defending Our University

President Alan Garber sent a letter to the community announcing Harvard had filed a lawsuit in federal court to halt the administration’s multibillion-dollar freeze on the University’s research funding.

Behind him, two other researchers in lab coats are working at laboratory benches filled with various scientific equipment, containers, and supplies. The lab has high ceilings with exposed ducts, bright lighting, and large windows letting in natural light.
