Graduate School Fund
Graduate School Fund volunteers raise flexible funds for the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences by sharing their own personal story with fellow alumni. Gifts of all sizes to the Fund directly support the recruitment and training of our outstanding graduate students, who will become the thought leaders of their generation and push the boundaries of human knowledge and understanding.
GSF volunteers play an essential role in raising more than $1.5 million annually in immediate-use funds that give Dean Xiao-Li Meng PhD '90 the ability to invest in priority areas and new opportunities. This community of supporters works in close collaboration with the Harvard College Fund, the GSAS Dean's office, and the Graduate School Alumni Association to engage donors and connect them to the school.
"Harvard graduate students have literally won Nobel Prizes for their dissertations, and they serve as a bridge between Harvard’s outstanding faculty and its extraordinary undergraduates. As research assistants to faculty members and as teaching fellows and advisors to undergraduates, our graduate students play a critical role in the intellectual vitality of all that is Harvard."
—John Moon ’89, PhD ’94 and Ann Bennett Spence AM '69, Co-Chairs of the Graduate School Fund
