Harvard Alumni Participate in Tax Reform Debate in Chile
The Harvard Club of Chile co-organized a conference to discuss Chilean Tax Reform issues on June 4th. The ex-Minister of Finance, Felipe Larrain PhD '85 offered an Alternative Tax Proposal for consideration by the current government. Over 200 people attended, including 80 Harvard alumni and many Chilean political leaders. Chile’s ex-President and Harvard alumni Sebastian Piñera PhD '76 chose the event as his post-presidential “coming out” and participated only as an audience member. Harvard Club of Chile President Ellen Guidera kicked off the event.
