Harvard College Fund Participation Program
The alumni tradition of supporting Harvard has always been about the proportionate ability to give and a desire to share common goals with classmates. In addition to contributing to the powerful cumulative effect of gifts, high participation motivates others to become donors. Alumni capable of giving very large gifts are more willing to do so when a substantial number of their classmates are providing what they can. Finally, prospective students, faculty, and the media view alumni participation as a vote of confidence in the institution. High participation actually helps Harvard to attract the best faculty and students to Cambridge.
